“Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right”
~Henry Ford
Enduring the lessons of low self esteem, low self image, academic and athletic futility in high school, Wayne Wicka shares the painful lessons of hard knocks with the life-changing lessons of success learned from his many mentors who have shaped and transformed his life for the purpose of empowering others. He is grateful for the life lessons learned while in the United States Marine Corps, the National Football League, and from his twenty years of teaching, coaching and mentoring students in the middle schools, high schools, and colleges of Minnesota State University-Mankato, the University of Wyoming, and Winona State University where he remains focused on student achievement and success.
Wayne persevered to achieve redemption. Redemption from overcoming the long odds of academic futility with a “C/C- average” in high school to a “B average” for his bachelor’s degree to an “A average’ for his Master’s degree to experience academic empowerment and, again, from kneeling on the high school sidelines as a benchwarmer to demonstrating his talents – with a spectacular top ten finish – at the NFL Combine to showcasing his talents in the National Football League – a high school benchwarmer turned New York Jet and U.S. Marine who sacked Brett Favre, Wayne Wicka’s message is about not giving up on your goals and dreams because you are closer than you think to achieving them.
“Failure is not failure unless you quit.”

Wayne’s message is one of hope, inspiration, and empowerment to help you achieve your potential and accelerate your success. Whether your dream is academic, athletic, personal or professional, it does not matter, the success principles he teaches are transferable to all areas of your life.
“As one person I can not change the world, but I can change the world of one person.”
